Creating a productive and inclusive work culture isn’t the accomplishment of any single person or department. It’s the result of an entire company, coming together to build an environment that prioritizes and supports all members of its community, both inside and outside of the four walls of our office.
We’re excited to share that, thanks to the dedicated work of every member of our team, Scoop has made the San Francisco Business Times’ annual Best Places to Work list for 2019! This milestone comes for us at a period of rapid growth, where we have continued to scale and define the company we strive to be.
Our commitment to community
Just as we strive to mitigate the commute’s impact on people everywhere, we’re proud to invest internally, as well.
When employees are healthy and happy, they feel more empowered to create meaningful work and bring our collective mission—to bring together co-workers and neighbors into carpools they love—to life. At Scoop, we’re dedicated to providing a space that uplifts our employees, provides meaningful opportunities for development, recognizes and rewards achievements, and guarantees that all of our voices are heard.
As we’ve grown to over 120 employees in the past year, we’ve taken steps to maintain a culture that promotes collaboration, as well as individual and team development. We truly believe that this award is a testament to the environment we’re building at Scoop: one that includes taking a bet on ourselves and the team, and nurturing the growth of all of our people.
Building a workplace that supports our carpoolers
Supporting the well-being of our employees also ensures that we can continue to help improve the quality of life for the thousands of carpoolers who rely on Scoop to get to and from work, every single day.
We’ve heard a number of meaningful stories about how convenient and enjoyable carpooling is changing people’s lives from the Scoop Community. Whether it’s a new mom connecting with other mothers at her new job, or a summer intern meeting their mentor in a carpool, we’re thrilled that Scoop has had such a significant and far-reaching impact on carpoolers.
As we continue to grow this year and beyond, we’ll never lose sight of the day-to-day benefits carpooling provides for our carpoolers and customers. They are essential parts of our community, and we look forward to our continued work together.
We couldn’t be more hopeful about what the future holds for Scoop and our team, and being recognized as a Best Place to Work is another step forward in our journey building a better commute, together.
